Good Parenting Tips

There has been a sort of misconception on the side of parents on what a child really need to grow up. Most parents believe that parenting is all about providing the child with  good food, best of cloths and best of schools without having time to nurture their person. And by so doing, they fail to raise a responsible adult.

Some other parents consider parenting as an ordeal one has to go through as a part of married life. They in the process of raising their child, lay courses on their children their by impacting negatively on the child's psyche.

Shammi Sukh, in his book, Precious Tips on Parenting, put it thus
"Merely begetting children, providing them with good food, shelter or career education does not make anyone a great parent. That, an average parent or legal guardian can do-and usually does! But, the real greatness of parenting lies in something much more than the above. It lies in developing a whole-some personality- i.e, becoming a person who can lead life with dignity, happiness and success."

Sukh went ahead to opine that " The destiny of any child is designed by two things: Hereditary (Nature) and Parenting (Nurture).

That is to say, today's well nurtured child, is tomorrow's adult of great dignity and success. And it is on this premise, i decided to open this happy family arena blog with good parenting. As it is the bedrock of a happy family bearing in mind that well nurtured children will always turn out to be great parents. Someone might say it does not follow sometimes, but the truth is that the values impacted on a child while growing up will always remain with him and it is those values that will define the kind of adult he/she will turn out to be.

What do u think?
